Background Information
HABP4 (hyaluronic acid binding protein 4) is an intracellular regulatory protein, with a molecular weight of about 57 kDa (PMID: 33245729), which is rich in positively charged amino acids and can bind with negatively charged macromolecules such as RNA and hyaluronic acid. It has SUMO binding activity, participates in PML tissue, negatively regulates DNA binding activity, and positively regulates gene expression. In addition, HABP4 has a complex interaction network in cells, and has undergone a variety of post-translational modifications, including serine/threonine phosphorylation, arginine methylation and SUMO.
