Background Information
Human gametogenetin (GGN) is expressed in the testis and ovaries and is a conserved gene in human and mouse. Recently, GGN was found to play a tumor-promoting role in cancer through regulation of NFκB/caspase-3-mediated apoptosis signaling (PMID: 30721393). GGN can be glycosylated, which may result in an increase in observed molecular weight.
