Background Information

FAM125A, also named as MVB12A and CFBP, is a component of the ESCRT-I complex. FAM125A is required for the sorting of endocytic ubiquitinated cargos into multivesicular bodies. FAM125A has three isoforms with MW 27-28 kDa and 25 kDa.
