Product Information

Proteintech’s PR30019 (Eosin Staining Solution) can be used for tissue and cell staining. Eosin can stain the cell cytoplasm to produce a red color. The formula of this product has been optimized to make staining simple and time-saving. 

The product is provided in a ready-to-use format. No further dilution is required. Each milliliter of this product can stain ~10 slides.

Storage

Ambient. Stable for one year.

Usage

For FFPE samples:

1. Immerse slides in xylene for 10 minutes. Repeat in fresh xylene again for another 10 minutes. Then rehydrate the slides by sequentially incubating in 100%, 95%, 80%, and 60% ethanol solutions for 5 minutes each. Finally wash the slides with distilled water for 2 minutes.

2. Stain the slides with Hematoxylin solution (Proteintech's  PR30004 is recommended).

3. Apply Eosin staining solution to the slides and make sure the tissues are fully covered. Stain for 2-5 minutes. Wash the slides with distilled water after staining. 

4 .Dehydrate the slides with ethanol gradient followed by clearing, mounting and observation. 

For frozen section:

1. Wash the samples with distilled water, stain the slides with Hematoxylin solution (Proteintech's  PR30004 is recommended).

2. Apply Eosin staining solution to the slides and make sure the tissues are fully covered. Stain for 2-5 minutes. Wash the slides with distilled water after staining.

3. Dehydrate the slides with gradient ethanol followed by clearing, mounting and observation.

Cautions

1. Stain with 1-2 samples to make sure the staining achieves optimal results. 

2. Wear a lab coat and gloves during operation.
