Background Information
DENND2D (DENN domain-containing protein 2D) is a protein containing a DENN domain and belongs to the family of membrane transport proteins, participating in intracellular membrane transport and signal transduction processes. The DENND2D protein comprises several conserved domains, such as the uDENN, DENN, and dDENN domains, which are widely present in various signaling proteins. In cancer research, the expression and methylation status of DENND2D hold significant prognostic value. DENND2D may serve as a novel tumor biomarker for predicting cancer progression and recurrence.
