Background Information
COA1, also named as C7orf44 and MITRAC15, is a mitochondrial translation regulation assembly intermediate of cytochrome c oxidase protein with MW 15 kDa. It's a component of some MITRAC complex, a cytochrome c oxidase (COX) assembly intermediate complex that regulates COX assembly. COA1 is required for assembly of mitochondrial respiratory chain complex I and complex IV.
