Background Information
C11orf61, also known as MSANTD2 (Myb/SANT DNA Binding Domain Containing 2) , is thought to be associated with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia in humans. MSANTD2 is expressed in a wide variety of human tissues, especially in the brain, and particularly during fetal development. MSANTD2 has a Myb/SANT DNA-binding structural domain that may be involved in DNA binding and transcriptional regulation. ( PMID:35980103 )
