Background Information
AMAC1, also known as SLC35G3. It is expected to be located in cell membrane, the protein is mainly expressed in testis. The calculated molecular weight of AMAC1 is 35 kDa. The gene encoding this protein appears to have arisen by SVA-mediated retrotransposition of the SLC35G6 gene in the primate lineage.
