Background Information
Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member B10 (AKR1B10), which belongs to the AKR superfamily, consists of 316 amino acids and its gene is located on chromosome 7q33. AKR1B10 was initially identified in liver cancer. It is highly expressed in the small intestine, colon, and adrenal gland.
