Background Information
ADAM29 is also named as CT73. It may be involved in spermatogenesis and fertilization. ADAM29 is processed to mature forms (70-85 kDa) between the stages of testicular sperm and cauda epididymal sperm. The cytoplasmic domain of ADAM29 can be processed or modified in the mature form so that the antibody might be unable to recognize the protein(PMID:19129510). It has 3 isoforms produced by alternative splicing. The full length protein has a signal peptide, a propeptide and 9 glycosylation sites. This antibody is specific to ADAM29.
