Background
VSIG1, also known as GPA34, is a member of the junctional adhesion molecule (JAM) family. The 387-amino acid protein contains an N-terminal V-type Ig-like domain, a C2-type Ig-like domain, and a transmembrane domain. The expression of VSIG1 in the epithelial cells of stomach mucosa and testicular germ cells.
