Background Information

POU3F3, also referred to as OTF8, Brain-1, encodes a member of class III of the POU family of transcription factors, is a well-known transcription factor involved in the development of the central nervous system. POU3F3 is composed by two functional domains needed for the site-specific binding to its target genes: the POU-specific (POU-S) domain and the homeobox domain (POU-H) (PMID: 37165752). Endogenous POU3F3 is upregulated in NSCLC tissues and cells, and high expression of POU3F3 correlated with poor survival prognosis (PMID: 39932442). The antibody is specific to OTF8.
