Stability and Reconstitution

Stability and Storage Lyophilized proteins are stable for 1 year from the date of receipt if stored between (-20°C) and (-80°C). Upon reconstitution we recommend that the solution can be stored at (4°C) for short term or at (-20°C) to (-80°C) for long term. Repeated freeze thaw cycles should be avoided with reconstituted products.
Reconstitution Briefly centrifuge the vial before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the protein in sterile 1x PBS pH 7.4 containing 0.1% endotoxin-free recombinant human serum albumin (HSA).

Background

Fibroblast growth factor 7 (FGF-7), also known as keratinocyte growth factor (KGF), belongs to the FGF family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion (PMID 11276432, 15863033). FGF-7 is a potent epithelial cell-specific growth factor, whose mitogenic activity is predominantly exhibited in keratinocytes (PMID 15327889).
